How our mission began.
Simar Kantor is currently a Texas high school sophomore and the founder of Healthier Soles, an organization focused on delivering shoes to underserved kids. Inspired by a story of another student making an impact and guided by her interest in health and human biology, Simar transformed a simple spark of curiosity in seventh grade into a meaningful mission. Through Healthier Soles, she leads an effort to improve lives one step — and one sole — at a time.
Arav Makadia is a senior at Milton High School. A longtime shoe enthusiast, Arav realized that something many take for granted can be life‑changing for those without access. After seeing images of children walking to school and adults working demanding jobs without proper footwear, he turned that awareness into action. Through Healthier Soles GA, Arav leads a mission to help communities step forward with dignity, comfort, and opportunity.
