We raised $16,000 and had the opportunity to distribute 3,747 pairs of shoes to 9 communities throughout Ghana with the help of 125 volunteers.
Samaritan's Feet matched our initial donation and donated an additional 3,000 pairs of shoes with their Ghana team, for a total of over 6,000 pairs of shoes.
Torn Footwear
Over 90% of the people served in Ghana had torn, tattered, or incorrectly sized shoes.
Foot Injuries or Foot-borne Diseases
Around 65% of the people we served in Ghana had a foot injury or foot-borne disease.
